Who Does Spiral Flutes On AR Barrels?

I've searched around some and it seems like there are tons of places to get an AR barrel fluted, but spiral flutes are a little harder to come by. I know Kampfeld does it, but not sure if he works on AR stuff. I'm familiar with the whole ER Shaw owns the rights to the pattern thing, but never heard if that held any water or not beyond their complaining. I have a heavy bull AR barrel right now that is a little too heavy that I would like to get spiral fluted. Anyone know where to get it done?

Best way to shave weight on a bull barrel is to turn it down under the hand guard. Adco does great work. Fluting doesnt shave a whole lot of weight.

Travis,

Send it to me . I've got a dremel, what pattern did you want again ?

Merry Christmas !

I know Black Hole does for there own barrels, but I don't know if they will do ones you send to them.
I think that there is one more but can't think of there name.

Here is a place in Minnesota that has the spiral barrels. They might be worth a shot on getting one done. The price on a barrel that is done is not bad either. Red X Arms

I've already done the carbon FF tube, and it's close, but just not quite there. I think I'll send it to Tim Neitzke or Kampfeld; who ever is cheaper

Marty does amazing work. He built a .14 Ackley Hornet for me last year. Also makes solid copper bullets that have a massive hollow point. Fun to just ogle the stuff on his site. I'll have to check with him too.

You can also reduce the length of the barrel to reduce weight. Next take off the flash suppressor and put on a simple thread protector.
