Who hunts rabbits without dogs???

Didnt read the thread so sorry if I repeat(im sure i wil)

Somthing about hunting with dogs seems like cheating to me. I dont want to start a fight but it just seems cheap.

Having said that, one of my favorite things is hunting rabbits in thick sage and grass. My buddys and I had a great spot where you could bust through the brush and kick em up every wich way. Part of the fun was chacing them around and trying to get a good clean shot at em. We always took either 10/22s / ARs wit red dots or shotguns and jammed through the bush poppin bunnys. It gets the heart rate up and makes it a bit more difficult aiming and getting good shots on target, so it adds to the fun! it really is a ball! too bad that place no longer exists and we cant find another one with the same population...

Here in the Reno area, I basically use a "still hunting" method for the local jacks. Sometimes I'll actually sit on a hillside overlooking the brush and at other times, I'll just take one very small, slow, step at a time and walk up on them.

No dogs, .25 cal air rifle, have taken 35 or so in the last month.

Ive hunted with dogs and without dogs. I prefer to hunt with the dogs. Nothing like the sound of a pack of hounds circling a rabbit on a cold frosty morning. My best dog died about two years ago at the age of 13. Had him since i was a boy. Just got two pups they opened up on their first rabbit track about a week ago!!!! They are only 5 months. Got a good feeling bout these two!!!
