Who makes a Rifle/Shot gun combo

Model 24 for savage. My dad has an older one with a wood stock. 222 over 20 gauge.
Baikal has a model not sure on number. Had one. 12 gauge on top with 223 underneath. Neat gun and accurate.

I have a Savage 24, .22 over 20g.
Wood stock, take down model. Supposed to be a pack rifle
but it's a bit heavy for that.

I've had it as long as I can remember.

Neighbor has a Stevens .22 over .410.

I see them pop at gun shows from time to time.

At one time Savage was a big importer. And Savage also imported a high quality over and under(rifle shotgun combo). And then Savage also made one as noted above. We have shot a few of the ones that Savage made and found the quality to be very poor. Barrels were not regulated very well at all. I believe the earlier one that Savage inmported was the TIkka model, but I could be wrong about that.

Tikka at one time made a very high quality combination rifle shotgun that was very good.

Valmet also made a fantastic O/U combo. And with the Valmet the barrels were also interchangeable. It was one of the best systems you can buy.

That type firearm was very popular with turkey hunters. And most turkey hunters will not sell the ones they have, they like them too much.

A good used one pops up from time to time. Look for the Valmet, the quality is there. Tom.

The better ones are the drillings.(Sp?) That is a sXs shotgun over a rifle barrel.
There are some very high quality ones out there, mostly from Europe.
