Who uses a 338-06, what's your experiece ?

I built one and found it to be accurate and easy to load for. I once shot a coyote with it while elk hunting, but alas no elk. I ended up selling it when I moved to reduce the amount of bullet tips I was using. A great round, not really a long range shooter but that can be corrected by a proper scope.
 
I have a had or still have 338 fedral,338-06,338win ,330 Dakota ,338 Lapua ,338RUM ,338edge

on my bucket list is 338norma and a 338 short mag in a long action

if you want 500 yard elk 338win or a 338-06 will do
