Why Did You Choose the 6.5 Creedmoor?

I have done load work for close to 15 rifles in the 6.5 CM and past 600/700yds they fall on there nose with the ELDs.
 
I am shooting 24.5 to 25 MOA depending on conditions.
OF course that would depend a lot on what part of the country a person is in.
I am also shooting a long throat and 30 inch barrel.

I agree the bergers are a little better.
 
I don't shoot the ELDs in my 6.5s but some of my friends do and they seem great well beyond a grand in the CM. We do a lot of steel hunting at distance and even if they don't get that whole .697 they do great, probably better that my tipped hybrid 140s at the same speed according to our drops.
 
I just got a new barrel and am shooting Sierra 142 grain MK.
they have a very good advertised BC and I am getting good results with them.

I shot a lot of the ELD but I have never really like the plastic tip.No real reason just don't.

The Sierra does not show quite as much pressure in my rifle as the ELD with the same charge.

If you have a long barrel and have not tried RL-26 you are missing out.

If you still have some, and want to swap a box of the 147's for sierra 142's I still have one full box here.
 
At first I had the 6.5 creedmoor but then wised up and got the 6 mm creedmoor. Much more enjoyable to shoot with the suppressor on and better accuracy if you can believe that.
 
Better accuracy on paper maybe/ maybe not. But at distance the 6.5 bc shines brighter. Also what makes it much more enjoyable to shoot, less recoil?

I was pretty slow to jump on the 6.5 CM wagon, but after watching several other people have great success with it. I wanted to try one. It's fun to shoot, and both of mine rifles are super accurate. It works great on deer, antelope, little big for coyotes but kills them. It works really well for long range plinking.

Does anyone really need a reason to buy new rifles anyway??!! If I used reason when I bought rifles, I'd have a lot less lol.
