Why do many used LCR for sale?

Same deal for LCP's and LC9's. The Concealed Carry fad shot sales through the roof, then people that were either new shooters or casual at best shooters ("I own a pistol, I shoot a couple boxes a year" types) bought these hard-to-shoot pip-squeak handguns, took them to the range, and hated the way they shot.

Really can't have your cake and eat it to. Either you want a gun that's fun to shoot, or you want a gun that's concealable and easy to operate. The SP-101 isn't any bigger, but the extra weight and DA/SA trigger makes it a joy at the range. I don't think the new owner turn-over rate for SP's is nearly what it is for the LCR's, but the LCR's move faster right now because of the CC Craze.

Why I don't have an LCR? They're butt-ugly. Why I have bought several of them used? Because I can flip them easily, buy from someone that changed their mind, and sell them to the next sucker that is mistakenly buying a DAO Superlight as his first handgun.

Now a gun has to be pretty to work well again??? Just like with women, pretty is as pretty does. I like the concept of the LCR and look forward to having one one day. Looks??!?!?! It's gonna be in a pocket or holster all the time!!! Do my wrenches have to look pretty being in the toolbox all the time???

I think you see so many used LCR's for sell because they have sold a ton of them. For a first CCW gun it a good buy, simple and effective. Then some folks get tired of carrying and sale or they want to upgrade to an auto. The LCR is a little bulky for pocket carry and if your going to holster carry might as well get a 9mm with more rounds. One thing I like about the LCR is the DA trigger pull is nicer then a J-frame Smith. For most of these folks it doesn't matter what they buy they can't hit the broad side of a barn. There was a guy with palsy that shuck like crazy and still passed his CCW test. The CCW coarse mainly covers law and if you can squeeze a trigger you can pass the firing qualification, I've never heard of anyone failing.

I think several probable reasons have been covered.
After getting my CC I set out to get the LCR in .357, but after talking to a few friends that carry a LCP (or similar-Kahr?), considering the difference in `print`, and just a general feeling of `clunkiness` from the LCR, I chose the LCP.
In my jeans pocket the LCR looks like a revolver and the LCP a wallet.

And, the Talon or Uncle George Wallet style holster for rear pocket finishes that look extremely well while allowing fairly easy access.
