Why is it that our peeps in Canada can't shoot black hills ammo, and also I have heard some speculation that it may not be real long before we won't have it either WHY IS THAT?
I have never shot it so I don't know the down low about it.

Would think that dist in Canada do not handle it. Don't know where you got the we won't have it either? Can you explain? It is some of the most accurate .223 on the market today. I have been shooting it for at least 15 years, probably longer. Can't remember.

The only problems I see is they can't keep up with demand as with the rest of the mfg'ers. Govt. contracts must be filled for the war effort.

This is where I heard the rumor. http://www.predatormastersforums.com/ubb...page=0#52536369

Why is it more accurate ammo? And can I just but bulletes from them and reload my own?

It looks to me like the references in the post were made about the "RIFLES", not the ammo.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

And yes, black hills just loads the same bullets that we do. Noslers, Sierra's, Hornady's, Barnes, etc..

Black Hills is the best factory ammo you can buy for the money ! Red box is still around , but blue box has been tuff too find . They load a lot for the U.S. military.

I know that cabelas here in p.a. has a ton of the blue box blackhills ammo... and whats better is my fiance works for them so the 35% discount makes it appealing to me it dont shoot all that well in my AR or my Browning varmint rifle but i can get it cheap. so i'll shoot it up and save the brass. as for canada well its canada need we say more.

Its not that the Black Hills ammunition is banned in Canada. As SteveM mentioned, I expect its a distribution issue. I have never seen the Black Hills ammo available here in Canada (though it might be, I dunno), and bringing ammo across the border is a nightmare of red tape.

And its not that the AR15 rifles are banned as such. They're classified as "restricted", meaning we Canadians need a note from God (practically) to own and use them at a range, and we cannot ever use them for hunting. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Oh, and btw, while I'll be the first to agree that our gun laws are nonsensical, there are worse places in the world for that kind of thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Did some checking and apparently Black Hills ammo was available through Canadian dealer Milarm (www .milarm.com) but availability may be extremely limited these days, due to the heavy military demand.
