All people, pets, and puppies are safe!

We were about an hour from grandmas when we got the news…

Switched on the phone and watched LOTS of my “stuff” burn on my security cameras, while not enough of our FD guys fought way too many house fires, and came by regularly to protect my home.

Home is ok so far, still lots of wind and my big shop is still burning in the crumpled core. Lots of stuff down the hill is still burning, BUT it’s surrounded by burned grass, so it looks promising for the house.

RainShadow 2, & 3 are there now doing detailed fire prevention for the house while 40 trucks and 2 helicopters are still chasing this one through the neighborhood. 150 acres plus of rural neighborhoods… not grasslands.

I’ll head back tomorrow.

Truck, RV, two shops (knife shop and wood shop are completely cooked,) three sheds, one kennel, three boats, tractor, the list is going to be very long… a list of STUFF.

Material stuff would burn anyway.

God is in control, Guys.

The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away….

so sorry to hear this.

material possessions come and go and can be replaced to a degree. lost lives can not be replaced.

thank God all the people are Ok and your family was safe at Grandmas. maybe thats why you were suppose to be at Grandmas, God works in mysterious ways

I know first-hand how what you are and will be going through, Jan 6, 1981, -6* I am coming home from 2nd shift and a half mile from the house I round a bend and see something that "doesn't look right". Realize it is flames at our house. Road is iced and i can't get there fast enough. Wife and 2 young daughters are in the driveway wrapped in a blanket when i finally get there. Drive to the closest neighbor, wake them up, call the local VFD, then go back and try to get dog and cat plus stuff out. No luck. 6am it was over with a couple walls and part of the roof standing.
STUFF CAN BE REPLACED. Good luck.
 
Breaks my heart to see such total destruction. Well equipped shops do not happen overnight. I always admired the knives you and the boys made and also the dogs you trained.
There has been loss of life in some places lately and I am glad you and your family still have a home. Thank God for His protection and glad to hear you say you will be coming back. (y)
 
Really appreciate your thoughts and especially prayers lifted up, this is going to be a really long process... Insurance staff is being nice, but will probably only cover 50-70% of the losses. Every time I think of another thing, then realize it's not there anymore, it's a kick in the gut.

I really need the originator of the fire to be identified... and insured!
