Ya know, the owner of WT may or may not have good social skills (I don't know because I've never met the man), but whether or not y'all want to admit it or not he's done a lot for the calling community.
For one, no matter what kind of man he is, he makes one of the best callers on the market.
For another, he's actually the one who originated the Radio Shack caller that many here are using. Don't believe me?? Search the archives and you'll see that the man who originally posted the idea here got the idea from Bill Martz.
I don't know the man and I don't use a WT caller because I can't afford one now. I'm not defending him, but I think credit should be given where credit is due.
I know some who use the WT callers, and the sound quality is awsome. My question is, will the tremendous sound quality actually call more coyotes? There's no doubt that the Fox Pro will call coyotes, even with the nerve wracking short loops and reduced sound quality, but will the WT call more of them?
I really don't know, but I'm not sure sound quality is what calls coyotes. I think your best weapons are your gun and your brain, not the quality or type of sound played. I've called and killed a heck of a lot of coyotes with hand calls, and while I can mimick a fox-got-'im-by-the-butt jackrabbit and cottontail better than most, I'm sure it's not perfect.
It would sure make an interesting comparison for a calling magazine, wouldn't it?
