No, not unless you have a spare bank sitting somewhere around. I would go with a foxpro for seeral reasons.
#1 They are a hell of a lot cheaper
#2They sound just as good as a wt.
#3 They are smaller
#4 their owner actually cares about his customers
#5 They are factory reprogramale for a lot cheaper than the wt.
#6 A ton of peopel have found success with the cheaper foxpro, and many have had bad customer service from the other brand.

Alaskan,
I will probably have some rocks thrown at me for saying this, but here goes. If I had the cash to purchase a WT caller without breaking my bank account, and I really wanted the best electronic caller available------I would bite my finger nails, write the check and get it over with. You live up there where you have some mighty fine trophy type predators to call. If you can afford the best, why not buy it?

Well, I don't give a sh$% if you throw rocks at me. Gets too rough I'll just go out a shoot a few yotes with my WT. I've said it here before, I have had quite afew of the rest, have been behind some of the others, have owned most of the versions of the WT, it is the best. Why not spend a few hundred extra bucks and not worry if you got the best. We spend thousands on trucks, guns, scopes, and all the accessories, it seems to me that going out with your best chances only makes sense. Bill Martz and his wife have treated me very well in my dealings with WT. Nothing but the best to say for them. If you get up here to Great Falls give me a call, I will take you out and show off the WT for you. I have shot a lot of yotes over it. Not the easy yotes like the ones down in the desert. That statement should get the stones coming. HaHa.

I wouldn't buy one. Bill Martz told me on a public forum that even if I could afford one that I'd be too dumb to use it. I'm still scratching my head on how I turned down a slick sales pitch like that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

When you've got the best product and sounds on the market the owner can say and do what he wishes....WT doesn't need to sell his product to anyone if he doesn't want to. He's got the best product out there in my book, gotta respect the guy. He taught me alot about coyote behavior and habits, a wealth of knowledge. When I get the time to go hunting I want the best equipment to fool old wiley...even if it is expensive...

Not in a million years! I made the owner's "do not sell to" list years ago and I'm proud of it. No person needs to put up with the verbal abuse and childish tantrums from the owner. The best caller? No way! Just because some person charges more for it, doesn't make it the best. It's more like the little man syndrome, nothing more. The owner TALKS about hunting, but doesn't hunt at all. MI VHNTR

Well, I knew that it had to happen sooner or later. The owner of wt calls has emailed me, making threats and false accusations in the process. I will post under "Member Club House" about this. After all, let everyone see what a real "nice guy" he really is. MI VHNTR

I would start in, but I dont want to get banned !!!! I reread over some of the wildlife teck and Bill martz posts last night. It is horrible how he conducted himself towards AzWill. I dont care if I only had the lip sqeak to use, I would never ever ever buy one of his products. We are refered to as "The moron Board" I found out too.

Well, I suppose they have a good sound library. Too bad someone else doesn't own it. They would be rich.

All I can say is you reap the harvest you sow...and the owner still is.

Well here is what our old buddy Bill emailed me. Fellwo foxpro users, watch out, Bill belittles them in here.

Hello
Just to set the record straight about your statement " #2 They sound just as good as a wt. ".

1- The FoxPro can only produce toy class quality sound with a bandwidth of 600Hz to 2800Hz at less than 4 bit resolution which puts it in toy class audio quality.

2- Our system has a bandwidth of 20Hz to 20Khz at 16 bit resolution. In addition all of our sounds are rated studio grade and are real wildlife vocalizations.

3- The above stated specs are correct and accepted engineering benchmarks.

Now that you have the facts please refrain from posting inaccurate statements relating to our company. If you have a rebuttal please e-mail or call.

Curt, Id start watching your email buddy, He got me and MI VHNTR already. Your probably next.
Man am I ever glad I went with foxpro now.

Ya know, the owner of WT may or may not have good social skills (I don't know because I've never met the man), but whether or not y'all want to admit it or not he's done a lot for the calling community.

For one, no matter what kind of man he is, he makes one of the best callers on the market.

For another, he's actually the one who originated the Radio Shack caller that many here are using. Don't believe me?? Search the archives and you'll see that the man who originally posted the idea here got the idea from Bill Martz.

I don't know the man and I don't use a WT caller because I can't afford one now. I'm not defending him, but I think credit should be given where credit is due.

I know some who use the WT callers, and the sound quality is awsome. My question is, will the tremendous sound quality actually call more coyotes? There's no doubt that the Fox Pro will call coyotes, even with the nerve wracking short loops and reduced sound quality, but will the WT call more of them?

I really don't know, but I'm not sure sound quality is what calls coyotes. I think your best weapons are your gun and your brain, not the quality or type of sound played. I've called and killed a heck of a lot of coyotes with hand calls, and while I can mimick a fox-got-'im-by-the-butt jackrabbit and cottontail better than most, I'm sure it's not perfect.

It would sure make an interesting comparison for a calling magazine, wouldn't it?

This is the last I'm gonna say on the WT because whenever the subject comes up it is like a disease and nothing but hard feelings evolve. Could you imagine if he was allowed to participate?

Those of you that did not witness the owners conduct on the boards when the WT first came out do not have a clue. The problem is not so much with the overpriced equipment, as it is with the childish behavior and flat out disrespect for members of several calling boards. Why do you suppose he is banned from nearly every calling board that exists? The burnt bridges can never be repaired.

If a person wants to believe his nonsense then flush your money down the toilet and buy one. Personally, I would resort to using a blade of grass between my thumbs before giving him a dime. I just wish some of you could have witnessed his conduct in the past. You may sing a different tune.

As I said, he is reaping the harvest he has sown. If he doesn't like what is being said, he should have conducted himself in a more civilized manner.

He can e-mail me all he likes. He was added to my "block senders" list a long time ago and all e-mail is automatically deleted.

Take care, Curt

Curt, an eloquent response. I do have a bit of a problem with it though. Since all of our grass is covered with snow, can you spare an extra blade of grass for me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif MI VHNTR
