X2 and real enjoyable to speak with. Mike

No please do not take this wrong. Picture us drinking a barely pop on the tailgate or my truck. I think you mean enjoyable to listen to since Bill does not let one talk much in the conversation. LOL

You know Hammer I frequently go and visit Bill and crew. I also hear the conversations that he has with many customers. Most cases are very much like decanuck says.If you call and act intelligent and a bit respectful the guy will do anything for you. If you call and act stupid you probably will hear something you may not want to hear. Most of the time those are the ones that like to call and push buttons just to see what will happen and then get their feathers all ruffled and jump on here to complain.

Funny turboranger, the times I have spoken with Bill M it was ego driven and mever really answered the question or made the problem better. It always started with anything wrong was user fault and then on how he can call them all and him telling you how to do it.

A business is based on customer service and tone and you don't scare off customers with condasending talk.

ADC as I said MANY conversations that I hear are pretty cordial. There are some though that provide for a bit of entertainment. Personally if I think Bill is wrong about something I have no issue telling him he is full of [beeep]. I realize however not all have thick skin and "scare off" easy as you mentioned.
I will tell you that while I am there the [beeep] phone doesn't stop ringing with people wanting callers and that is no BS. By the way if you don't like talking to Bill ask for Pat as she is a VERY nice person and won't ruffle your feathers

As for ego's I think its safe to say there is also plenty enough of that on here as well to go around. I would also venture to say that those with big ones are the ones that bump heads and cry the most after talking with Bill.

I will concede that Bill's stellar personality might not be for everyone. For those I guess there are plenty of other options.

Merry Christmas guys

Edit: Holy cow I got beeeped twice...sorry.

Having been on the receiving end of bm's irrational antics more than once, I always look elsewhere when I want/need an ecaller and I'll advise others to do the same. There's no need for a customer spending their hard earned money to put up with any of that nonsense. MI VHNTR

Sounds like just the E-caller for me. I wasnt very impressed with either of the Foxpro's Ive had (no problems with the product but the sound quality just wasnt there when compared to my JS system) Im looking for a better system because the JS has too many pieces clunking around. Im really interested!!! Maybe after Christmas I'll pick one up.

I ordered a MA-15 this morning but I dealt with wildlifecallers.com. Extremely very pleasant fellow to deal with. I am looking forward to getting my caller soon. I bought it for two reasons, I agree that clarity is the most important feature you can have and I have heard nothing but good things as to the clarity of these callers. Number two is that there sure seems to be {to me at least} a dissproportionately high number of Foxpros for sale all the time. I dont think I want what everyone is selling...I want the ones guys buy and keep. Some have commented that Foxpro sells so many more and that there are more out there, maybe but they are still being sold by their owners. I will say this I have never dealt with or even talked to the guy that makes these things. I dont "scare off easy" but if I have to have "thick skin" to hand any bussinessman my hard earned cash he wont get it but once and no matter how fantastic his product is it will be my mission in life to run it down to anyone that will listen.

Outlaw and Msinc hope you enjoy your systems. Msinc understand your position. Four years ago I was in the same spot and didn't know anything about WT. I got on here to start my research as it had been about 15 years or so since I owned an old Dennis Kirk. I started researching and saw a few on here with ruffled feathers that had nothing at all good to say about WT. Then there were others that REALLY thought this thing was it. I am the sort that if I am going to buy something I want the best I can get. That might take a bit longer to get at times as my wallet doesn't always agree

So I called Bill up and found that he lived in NH not far too from me. I thought well after I get back home (I travel for a living) I would stop and visit. Since then I have had 3 of his callers (one I just upgraded to the MA ) and more importantly to the disbelief of some on here I'm sure, developed a very good friendship with he and his family. Some on here say Bill has a big ego, but so do most of those saying it. I will tell you that a lot of that is bluster on his part and that he more enjoys a good, sparky conversation. As I said earlier some like to push buttons then carry on, on here. Me, I enjoy pushing those buttons too, just as many times as I can.......

Turbo where is Darcy Alkerton picture? He was on the web site but no more. He is the guy who got me started on this caller. You may have meet him before. Tell Bill he should send me 1 MT 21 to try out and maybe could sell more for him. I know 1 guy bought 1 after he heard my caller i just really hate to see everybody buy 1 thou.

Turbo thick skin as a consumer of a product are you serious???? He should know better and name any other business model that works that way?

There are plenty of calls out there and what I use gives up nothing to what the ego driven one sells. Just a fact sorry. If you like the WT product great and anyone else more power to you.

His rhetoric and tone has cost him business that is a fact. Also I see many have not heard some of the new offerings from FoxPro as there cs-24 is an outstanding calling unit. FP customer service is top of the line.

Their customer service department is WAY to busy because the consumer is the quality control person. They build it and ship it out. If it's OK, fine and if it's not, well the customer has to ship it back to the factory and be without a caller until they ship it back. Foxpro should have better QC so they don't have issues when the unit leaves the factory as noticed by all the customers who have to ship it back for whatever reason. That is why I won't buy any other Foxpro when there are other companies who actually do have quality control. Wildlife Technologies and GameTraks to name two.

Doubt I will ever meet the guy but if I do, sounds like the kind of guy I could get along with anyhow as Ive been described as being a lil rough around the edges myself. To me, the guys personality has little to do with my purchase though, the fact that I see literally ....uuuummmm....lots..... of people complaining about FP's product and after having two myself with less than joyful satisfaction with mine after owning the competators product, its time for me to move on to something else.
Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to slam anyones product but I do feel as though I never got my moneys worth when purchasing from some companies. Maybe I will be dissapointed with the WT also but I wont know until Ive heard one.
For me, beauty is in the quality of sound and Im getting the impression that WT may have that part handled. Can anyone here tell me how the sound quality compares to other systems? Can anyone here compare the two models side by side for sound quality?
To me, "extreame" volume isnt what Im after, Im after loud (not much louder than nature produces) quality sound as I usually dont have to call very far in my area. I know where most of our dens are and can easily get withing calling distance without having to call coyotes from another county. Too much volume can hurt a set but having a little extra can be helpfull too.

Therein lies the problem.

I know it nearly always gets out of hand. Some people can't seem to get on here and talk about how good a product may be WITHOUT "pushing those buttons", or flatout trashing another product.
No matter WHO manfactures a product, if it is "trashed" on the open boards, then those that use that product will feel the need to become defensive.
Why does that have to happen? But, happen it always does.
thumbdown.gif

In my opinion, threads like this that get derailed, off topic, and lead to bashing of other products, users of those products, and even those that own the companies, should be locked down. It does nothing but continue the problem, and in many cases, inflame it....EVERY time it happens.

While many of us have our favorite products that we attribute part of the success we enjoy, nobody likes to hear their rifle, ammo, truck, e-caller, or camo bashed.

Can't we have ONE discussion about products where Bill doesn't become the main topic?

We have been down that road, and it has never come to any sort of a positive end.

Everyone needs to keep their posts above board, stay on subject, and be courtious to others....In any faction of posting here at PM.

I am a Foxpro lover and agree with your post 100%. I am learning though. The best way to buy a FP is wait for them to get some units back with glitches they can make corrections to the unit. Then buy them up.

Thanks

That happened years ago.

"Pushing buttons" is the part that gets things sidetracked.

Look how far this has gotten from the original intent and question the thread started with.

rockinbar, I never stated anything about his new callers, never used one and won't because of his nature. I don't see how people can enjoy getting treated the way some have and still buy product?o?? Boggles my mind??? He has good sounds and maybe these new callers are great, all fine and well but it is the person behind those products that keeps these threads going. His sales have been hurt and rough around the edges is fine and dandy but not when your in the sales and let that show through to a sale or futre sale.

My experiance with the WT was with the black box and plugged in TOA that was a unit with little forethought and prone to issues, again a fact. The design was poor and the system was as well, but MR Bill would never admit to that even thought his designs have changed alot and each newe caller is the best of the best, if that where the case one would stay the test of time correct?

Again great sounds and the newer callers look good, but not the only ones that will work and work well and when it comes to anyone making a purchase it comes down to product, warranty, support after sale and how that owner interacts with the paying customer.

Bill can sell 4 million callers I could care less, I will never be one of those sales. Be honest and treat people right that is the right way to do business.

Well the last and final time I chatted with him. He explained to me how crows do not make different calls only different volume levels.

I only kill about 12 yotes a year and 4 fox so I am not in anyone's league here in that department. I can admit that.

This year I have shot over 3,000 crows
smile.gif
I think I have a clue how to call and kill crows. I can (sometimes) call back a flock after I shoot at them with my hand calling. Crows may have the largest vocabulary of any bird period. Come here call, recognition call, mourning call, fighting call, struggling call, the list goes on.

When Bill point blank told me I was wrong he lost every bit of credibility with me. If he will BS me on crow calling surly he would BS me about his callers.

He would not let me site one of the many studies done on this, interruptions were continuous in our last chat.

And for the guys who say have a thick skin ha ha ha you probably have never meet anyone as rude crude and socially unacceptable as myself.

His sounds are great. I spent 600 bucks just to get them.

I can see why these oil execs can get government money and huge pay raises. If their gas works in my truck I do not care how much they make seems to be the attitude of many on here.

Merry Christmas I hope I did not offend anyone
