Wilson Barrels?

Kinda hard to think about paying $15-$1800 for a Cooper rifle that comes with a $160 barrel on it. But something works cause most Coopers shoot really good. I'd be willing to bet that the barrels going on Coopers are a higher grade barrel.

Actually they are not. I have used and installed many Wilson barrels. I have to say that I have always had very good results with them. Same barrels used on Cooper rifles, no different or better grade. All of the Wilson barrels I have bore scoped were flawless and had no tool marks. Same way with the Coopers I have and have looked at.
I cannot say the same thing about Douglas and Shilen. You would have to buy a Lilja, Bartlein, Pac-Nor super match, etc. to see a barrel that looks as good inside.
I have also dealt with the guys at Ragged Hole and again, had very good luck with them too. They are first rate. Buy with confidence.

And one from me too, Bill! You made it another year. Yippee!

I celebrated mine last Thursday in northern Nevada slaughtering ground squirrels. Shoot reload shoot. Shoot reload shoot. Swap guns and repeat. Hours later we rested our tired fingers and went to the farmhouse we were staying at and grilled out steaks. Next day we went out and did it all over again including the steaks. Now that's how to celebrate a birthday!

Thanks Russ. Shot the 22's this morning for fun. Had the front tires on the Vette balanced and went shopping for some new shocks. Got a long azz gun club meeting tonite. Not the fun you had on your B-Day but..... life goes on.......thankfully!!
