wilson rifle barrels

I only know of them as a factory supplier to the industry. They would not be one of choice for me. However, if they are on Cooper rifles I would take one of their rifles with that barrel on it.

17 cal,
Rock River Arms uses Wilson barrels. I have a 16" SS Wilson barrel with a 1:8 twist on my A4 and am very happy with its' performance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I have used 10 or 12 of the wilson barrels several years ago. Some of them shot great and some of them shot just "so-so". I have been told that they have gotten better, as far as barrel to barrel consistency, but I haven't used any for a few years.

Wilson was one of two suppliers for Ruger on the M77 before they started making their own barrels(No Douglas was not the other).
If you had a "Good" barrel on your M77, chances are it was a Wilson.

The 20" Wilson SS Heavy Barrel on my RRA varminter
is shooting several different hand loads in the .3 to
.4 MOA range. I am very happy with this one.
