win model 70 bolt problem

Well I guess I need to eat my words about not trusting win rifles. It was the rear screw of the front scope mount. Some of you had mentioned this. Ive had that problem before but was brain dead. What got me was it would fire but not hit the primer hard enough. The reason was the bolt was not closing all the way just enough to cock the gun and compress the firing pin spring a little. Works great now. Thanks guys.

Me thinks you should sell all your rifles before you hurt your self or someone along with you.

Putting a round in the chamber, bolt doesn't close all the way, You pull the trigger, You are [beeep] lucky that it did not fire, if it did they would probably be picking a bolt out of your head.

Don't ever pull the trigger on a round with out the bolt fully closed. DUH
