My father in law gave me his winchester model 270 pump .22 hasn't been shot in over 40 years, and had less than 50 shots through it. Besides some surface rust on the tube feeder nob, it is in great condition. He doesn't remember and I have no idea how to strip this gun down to give a much needed cleaning....I tried the winchester site and the us repeating arms site, but I can't find directions anywhere. Can someone here help????? The gun is truely for my two boys to use in a few years....

Oh yeah, missed the biggest coyote I have ever seen in my life this morning....more on that later

With a rusty 22 pump I'm not surprised you missed that coyote /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just kiddin, good luck on gettin that coyote next time and good luck with finding directions for that 22. It sounds like a treasure worthy of handing down the famiy tree.

If you can't find anything online, I would send the model# and serial# to Winchester direct and see if you get a response. You might be able to get what you're looking for by asking.

On a search for "Model 270" at the winchesterguns.com website, I found these sites that supply parts for your Model 270. Go to the last page and click on the "Obsolete Parts" link. If these guys don't have the manual for yours, they may be able to point you where to go. No endorsement on any of them, just found them in the search.
