One of my dad’s friends gave me a Winchester model 43 chambered in 218 bee. He said ammo is hard to find and expensive. I’d never heard of this model rifle before and it doesn’t appear to be a fancy, high end model, but it seems solid and i in good shape. Are you guys familiar with such rifle?

What a cool gift! Not familiar with it, but I would get that way fast lol. Midway has brass, dies, and Hornady loaded ammo. It isn't real cheap, however it is available.

You have a real gem there, both rifle and cartridge. One of my buddies has a Browning lever in 218 and has had several one shot kills on coyotes, including a 47 pounder. Enjoy that nice gift.

My Pap has one of these, but it's a more deluxe model. It has pearl inlays and a compass built into the stock. My Dad and I are waiting for the day that he finally gives it to one of us. It's a great round if you can find ammo.

While considered a collector because of age and not real common. Very simply and crudely made, nothing but a modified 22 RF. I had one, killed a number of coyotes with it, wish I still had it for nostalgia reasons
