I just picked up a box of these in 30:06.I was thinking of using them deer hunting this year.Does anyone out there shoot this ammo , and if so , any feedback , good or bad.I would think they would work fine on deer . I am just looking for thoughts or opinions on this cartridge. Thanks in Advance.

I did not care for them in .270.....I shot one large Doe broadside behind the shoulder from about 20 yards I thought I had missed....She walked about 40 yards total and finally went to her knees then down and died.....When I field dressed her you would have thought I had gut shot her....I will be shooting my 30-06 this year and will go back to a bullet I have used in the past...I shot Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silver Tip 130gr. .270

Try the 180g Remington Core-locts. I have dropped over 80 deer on the spot from 10 yards to over 600 yards with this round. There is no bullet better for $ than these as far as an 06' and Whitetail are conserned. I have reloaded balistic tips, Accubonds, and Swifts in the 180g and can tell you the Core-loct still plants them better than all 3. If anyone tells you different they just haven't shot enought animals to compair yet. Remington has a mail in rebate on these rounds right now so I'm sure they are going to be more reasonable than any other round out there at this time. I never tried the Winchesters but have been told they work good.

Thanks for the feedback guys.I did some research on Cabela`s web page , and they got very high marks on the customer review page .I think I will go ahead and try them ,and see for myself how they perform . Thanks Again
