Winchester Supreme Elite Extended Range HD Coyote?

Anyone tried this shell in 12 ga 3"? B shot vs T shot in Dead Coyote... these shells are also half the price of DC. Thanks ahead of time!

I haven't tried the Winchesters yet, but I'm getting ready to order some T shot in the Remington Wingmaster HD since it's cheaper than Dead Coyote too.

I'd be curious to see if anyone has tried the Bs too though.

I can't help on the coyote loads because I haven't shot them, but the #5 and #6 shot Elite loads are stone cold killers on turkeys.
They are the best loads I've shot in 30 years of turkey hunting.

I absolutely agree fw707! That's why I am interested to see what people's opinions are about the coyote load...

My son & I were duck hunting a few years ago when we had a coyote appear about 50 yds away, broadside to us. He was shooting an 870 Wingmaster, 12ga modified choke and 1 1/8oz of #4 Hevi-Shot. He hit the coyote and it dropped, slowly got up and was hit a 2nd time. The coyote turns away from us and staggers off, makes it about 30 yds and falls dead. We found pellets under the skin on the far side.

I would think B sized Hevi-shot would work farther than 50 yards.

Please let us know how you do.

They are scarce as hen's teeth to try to find...

Also take a careful look at how many are in the box, might be they are half the price of dead coyote because there are only 5 shells in the box.

I'd like to try them too, but aside from mail order... can't find any.

Good catch, cowpoke.. I knew it had to be too good to be true. Well, I'm lucky if I get 5 shots at coyotes all winter, so I guess a box of 5 would be more my speed anyways

Still interested to see how they perform, though.

It would be nice to find a shell that wasnt 3+ dollars a shot for these yotes! My trigger happy hunting buddy cost me a fortune a couple weeks ago shooting that rem. wingmaster hd I had.

Sounds like it's time he buys the shells, eh? LOL!

I'm wondering if there's anything to add to this as its been several years since the original post.

I've been buying the 5 round boxes for $11 a box. Not bad at all in my opinion. It works on smaller varmints and patterns well enough to 40 yards with a Carlson's coyote choke in my 835. It's a lot of constriction, almost turkey choke tight. I do like this load though and keep it ready around the property but I'm looking for proof that its good to go on dogs.

The Winchester Xtended Range B shot works good on coyotes at 50 yards and less. Since they are no longer being made I would buy every box they have for $11.00 per box.

This is what Winchester Xtended Range B shot looks like.

This load still appears on Winchester's site. I looked at the other HD loads and they offer what looks like an identical goose load. I'll email them tomorrow and see if I can figure it out.
