WINTER WHITE CAMO

I am also looking for snow camo for winter. However, I live in the north and I need insulated gear. Im not looking for a one piece suit. I have looked at all of the links listed above. Predator camo has one good looking winter parka, but it doesnt come with pants.

Snowbound:

I agree with you on the need for insulated winter camo and Predator Camo is awesome stuff. Predator Camo, Inc., http://www.predatorcamo.com, offers insulated bibs to go along with the parka. They do not offer white pants though, which is what I was looking for. I stopped by there last week to buy a winter white parka, but they do not have them in stock yet. They may not be in for a couple of months! I'm concerned that Predator Camo, Inc. may be in financial trouble and is having a hard time keeping items in stock. Rumors around town haven't sounded good.

That said, I did find another guy making Predator Camo right in my town also. He is the original Predator Camo designer and went into business with the two guys that now run Predator Camo, Inc. They had some disagreements and went their separate ways, but he still takes custom orders and his web site is: http://www.marcssweatshop.com/main.html

He is pretty expensive, but will make any size you need. I've given him an order and will report back when received.

Thanks Wolfer1 Im really looking forward to hunting within the next few weeks. It isnt to hard to find fall camo, but good warm winter camo is just really hard to come by. I checked out his site. He has some nice things. I'll wait for your update.

I think I saw some snow camo in Herter's catalog..... (Wasn't much interested here, so didn't look at it too hard.)

Winter is brown, not white. What's wrong with you guys?
Snow Tire? Why would you make a tire out of something called snow?
Ya know how you can tell it's winter in Arizona? The A/C isn't running 24x7.

I think the best snow camo available today is the gov't surplus white parka's, the ones the ski patrols used to wear in WW 2, take these and spray paint the sticks and limbs on it yourself,
Now the question where can we still get them.

I've seen Terry's camo coveralls made from the fabric he mentioned above. Real good looking.

Howler, the local surplus store carries several different types of military surplus camo. Both foreign and domestic.

The most effective snow camo I ever used consisted of an off-white jacket bought at K-Mart in 1980 and an oversized pair of very light colored khaki dress/casual pants. That was my bow hunting rig for several years and I made some outrageous stalks on deer while wearing that get-up.

JoeF,
Hey, thanks for the "thumbs up" on my camo. When we get some snow cover, I'll take some pics and post 'em. I didn't think much of that pattern at first, but it really seems to work.

Maybe if we get together this year to "retaliate" on those coyotes that thwarted our efforts, you can take a couple of shots with your digi camera and post them.

Can you set that for black and white only?

Good to see you posting again. Getting to be that time of year, eh?

Snowbound, Cabela's sells their own Snow Shadow insulated coveralls for $99.95. I bought a pair last year. A very nice product. MI VHNTR

Last year I purchased a white camo poncho with gray & black patches. It works great and fits over all my regular gear/clothes. I bought it at a local sportsman show for about $20.00. It sounds funny but really works. It doesn't give a "person" outline either. When I sit down it flattens out on the ground all around me.
