I personally tend to stay away from steel cased ammo. You especially do not want to use this stuff in Ruger mini-14's or mini-30's---2MG
 
Wolf is selling a new line of ammo this year called "Gold" that is supposed to be as good as the Black Hills match stuff. The gossip is that it is made in an entirely different facility from the cheap stuff.
Gotta wait for the ship to arrive and for it to hit the streets before passing judgement.

Wolf makes some top quality .22 cal. rimfire target ammo that shoots as good as the real high dollar Ely.
 
i also had a thought that almost every company sells good ammo at the high end of there price list...but as for the bulk im guessing its crap
 
I call my wolf ammo my "screw-a-rounds" I used Wolf ammo to sight in, then verified with good ammo. I plink with it but when it comes to hunting I break out my "good" ammo.

Had the same problem with my .223 useing wolf ammo. Still have a few boxs collecting dust on the shelf not anything else better to do with it!

Or should I take him hunting with me this way I know I will have a shot while he tries to fling massive amounts of lead at a rocket propelled coyote

I have a CZ varmint, that will shoot just about anything into MOA or less, some factory stuff even goes into .5" or so, Wolf along with M855 milsurp all shoots about 4-6" groups. plus the stuff is rather weak loaded. bascially its junk!!!
