Wolf bait

Reading the some regs, it says that a legal bait is:

"Bait that does not contain animal parts, animal by-products other than
liquid scents"

It goes on to say that you are limited to 10 gallons and also goes into detail about the limits of how it must be placed. School me here. The only baits I have ever know wolves to come to were bear baits that were mostly meat. What bait would attract wolves and be legal?

GREAT question WE, as this is a topic of interest for me as well for my annual hunting trip out west. I'm sure of the resident wolf hunting experts can chime in and educate us...

No doubt meat or game scraps are good where legal.
Apparently wolves love eating beaver, so maybe beaver oil or castor paste would be a good start.
Google-best wolf bait, you may learn something interesting.

Stomache contents from deer might pass as legal but predator contents would not as that would be meat or by-products from animals.
