Dillwood,

The word report, generally means that you must look up applicable resources on the subject. IE-Footnotes in your report to studys that have been completed, congressional moves, and the presence of the pro-wolf/anti-wolf coalitions and how that in turn affects the de-listing.
Since this subject matter can be very "personal" or strictly the "facts," one must decide what type of report is this going to be? Is it going to stand on the pro-wolf or anti-wolf side? Is it going to show both sides? With most reports you generally get a view point on the writers beliefs...a good report will show both sides and let a educated person make their own decision based off of that.
You can spend hours googling, library, speaking with your local Fish and Game and reading the reports that have been completed over the years. You must do all of that in order to get a good reports message out.
I hope this helps you. And for the record...my personal opinion is below:

"The wolves that were reintroduced in the North Western States were neither a native or an endangered species. Secondly, the impact that the wolves have had on the circle of life is traumatic at best. The wolves belong on the predator hunting regulations of every state that has a viable population. Efficient game management cannot be done when the individual STATES do not have the authority to over rule the very small brains of the Fed. Govt."

Here in Idaho they have been listed and delisted several times. At this point we have many times the target number to be self sufficient. Our elk population continues to decline.

The folks that are pro-wolf say that it's because of other factors than the wolf introduction and growing wolf populations. The folks that are anti-wolf blame it on the high wolf population. Not many folks are in the middle of this here where I live in the Clearwater River Drainage of Idaho.

I'm an elk hunter, or used to be, but have seen very few elk during our fall elk seasons over the past 4 years. I guess you can say I'm not on the side of the wolf. I do know that they have devastated the dog packs of folks in the Clearwater Drainage of Idaho that hunt bear and cougar with dogs. Hunting dogs seem to be at the top of the food list for wolves in this country.

Don't know if that helps you out any, but it's my take on the situation. Good luck with your report.

I'd hate to see Minnesota without wolves. But, there's too many. It would be reasonable to thin those numbers by about half.

The UP of Michigan has more than enough wolves. While there was always a small wolf population here, the wolf population is now out of control. MI VHNTR
