The floor is yours LeviSS, lets hear why you believe the wolves will never be a threat to our wildlife and or livestock.
In my opinion,..your being a bit quick with the trigger challenging others level of intelligence (did I spell it right?) and the way they express themselves. I'll go out on a limb saying 99% of the comments said on this subject are people simply venting out of frustration, tired of seeing and eventually suffering because of poor judgement with ALOT of wildlife management decisions. Now the remaining 1% and their actions. As long as they understand the risks, along with the probable consequences....so be it.
Are wolves a threat to our herd, hunting quality or livestock at this time...no. Are they a threat in the future,..maybe. I can get you in touch with several friends of mine in northern wisconsin that can tell you first hand what wolves can and will do in time. Now if you will all excuse me...I have to go save the baluga whales.

"It also represents a tiny upswing of the wolf's re-emergence in the state."

"The animals were thought to have disappeared from Illinois before 1860, Bluett said."

The point was that one picture of a wolf and the conspiracy theories and illegal solutions start flying. It wasn't to challenge intelligence (yes, you got it right), but sometimes posts have to be read several times just to get what people are saying and that drives me nuts.

The article says that they've been here before. They didn't eat all the deer then. I think they could be a problem in the future...but come on, one wolf?

Good luck with the whales. Sorry about stepping on toes. I'm done with this one.

I heard a wolf was shot in IL not too long ago. I asked a game warden at my church about it. He said he hadn't heard about any being killed, but that he has known of timber wolves being in IL for more than a couple of years. I also talked to an ADC man in central IL that has claimed to have seen a couple.

I dont think they're established but they are checking IL out.

Savage Fan2,..this is the one you heard about. I've hunted with mutual friends over the last 15 years and met the shooter a couple years before the mistaken shot. It was in the Manitowoc area, I believe the field was in Newton. About an hour north of Milwaukee, give or take a mile.

Wolf Shot in Wisconsin

was hunting down in alto pass one year with a buddy who had a shot at one but didnt take the shot thought it was a husky type dog. Only to find out weeks later that it got hit on road by a truck in the same area. It was a wolf. now was it a tranplant? or a pet? or a migration one they have never said and none has been seen since.

Quote: I know that politicians do screwy things, but that makes no sense at all. It still doesn't justify doing something illegal.

When has the legality of anything ever stopped a politician from doing what they want to do? Just take a look at what Obama signed Tuesday for the most recent example. Also check out campaign finance reform, gun prohibition in D.C. and a number of other transgressions that politicians pulled that were later deemed illegal.

They will do what they want as long as no one calls them on it. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It is obvious that this is an intentional attempt by anti-hunters to supplant man in game management with the wolf. Just look at who is supporting this. It's a who's who of anti-hunting organizations. Take the blinders off.
