Wool snow camo

I just wear my regular cold weather clothing and a light weight snow cover. Cheaper, easier to pack and if you get too warm you can shed a layer and still have your snow camo.

That's important, layering is smart.

How about good wool under layers and cheaper outer layers in the snow camoo of choice. Why spend good money on camo under layers you are gonna cover it up.
Just a thought.

I normally wear a cheaper $20-$40 wool sweater from some discount clothing chain under all my heavy winter camo. It works just fine and Im warm! Just dont let your wife get a hold of the new wool sweat and wash it! It will then fit your daughter just fine! Lol.......darn shrinkage!

Like others have mentioned, keep your eyes peeled at the local thrift shops. A few years ago, I found this wool Columbia camo outfit at one. I think I paid $20-$30. Brand new, it would have been well over $200.

If I wanted to, I could throw a cheap snow camo outer layer over it, but I already have snow camo bibs and jackets.

I am a true believer in kings camo. I wear there storm Fleece Jacket in Snow Camo and matching pants. super warm and wind proof to boot. this makes for a great layering system. right now it is 21 below outside with very little wind. I was hunting tonight with two long underwear layers and a packable cabelas octane jacket as a mid layer, threw the kings camo over the top and I was good to go on three sets.

I got the jacket and pants on black Friday for $116. Right now the jacket is on sale for $59 and the pants are $69. here is a link to there site.

Man, i tried to look at their stuff, but their website is an absolute mess. They need to get their [beeep] together if they want people to decide to drop that kind of money on their products.

No kidding! I went to their site and checked it out to see what you were talking about.

Some people take ‘simplifying’ a bit too far.
