Would you recommend shooting sticks?

The Steady Stix from Hunters Specialties Rock, Ed W showed them to us and we ran with it. for 12.00$ you cant go wrong Good luck AL.

I use 36 inchers when sitting on the ground and 48 inchers when using my dove stool.
 
The stool I use on stand I got at WalMart for $5 and lives next to my tool box in my truck. It folds up flat and fits between the tool box and bed.
Its there all the time as I use it for work also. When I leave the truck to make a stand its right there to grab as I leave if I decide I'm going to sit up.

You need to check into the dove hunting stools WallMart sells. They have the tubular legs that curve at the ground, then form the other set of legs, those legs on the stool shown are bad mojo, they tend to sink into wet or soft ground,and will have you on your backside before long.

My sticks are homemade. I cut them from some rift sawn white oak. Use them as walking sticks too. I have two pair that never leave the back of my truck (except when hunting).
