This is a get together of PM members to go to WY and do a little rodent maintenance. This year we will be hosted at ranches that have "severe" over-populations of PD's.

Let's use this thread to discuss what to bring, besides lots of ammo. Where to stay, watering holes, and chow halls all need to be considered.

I'll order another 500 rounds of fireball brass in 5 minutes. Time to get the hornet fired up too I guess.
 
The date is being voted on in the Sign-up thread. The location is on private land near Casper, WY.

For those that want to camp, how about a public campground in Casper? Maybe we could get a group rate on that as well. I notice the Fort Caspar (yes, that is spelled correctly) Campground is operated by the Isaac Walton League. Anybody in Casper know somebody there?

I was thinking along the lines of taking my toy hauler but last time I pulled it at highway speeds, I got about 12 MPG. 18.5 to 19 without and at almost 5 bucks a gallon, the extra fuel would equal 2 nights in a hotel just to pull it up there.

I am still working on accomodations. I am trying to see if you guys that want to camp can just park them out on one of the ranches I am setting up. Shouldnt be too big a problem. Also, I can probably accomodate several (4-6 people )at my house. I have a 3600 Sq Ft house with a finished basement that has two empty bedrooms and a huge family room. Some air mattresses or cots should work nicely. I will have to caulk the tub (I just finished the basement) to make the bathroom fully functional but that is an easy fix. I have at least three different locations set up, all within several miles of each other and all within a 10 to 15 minute drive of Casper.

If you can take me in as a house guest, I'd be VERY willing to give you a hand with any computer work you might need as a trade (I work IT professionally).

I appreciatte the offer Fly and if something comes up, I may ask for your help. The reality is no one owes me anything. I just want to be able to help you guys come up, have a good time, get some trigger time and continue your tradition. Did some talking the other day with the Ranchers daughter which was my in at this place. She told me about several other places all very close by this place. We may not be able to all shoot at the same place at once but we should be able to accomodate everyone. We just may have to split up into groups. Looks like the 28th & 29th is the most popular at this time so I think thats what we should shoot for (pardon the pun). That weekend works better for me anyway. Hope to see you all soon.
