Wyoming dog bounty? or state trapper tally

Maybe they are your dogs and someone is collecting the bounty on em /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I'm not getting on anyone's case it just looked like there was maybe a bounty because the ears were gone.

Locally here the WS hunters don't collect the pelts anymore when they aerial gun coyotes. Here they use a fixed wing airplane to gun from. With the low price of coyotes it doesn't pay to send the hunters back out in their pickups to collect the dead coyotes and skin them. Between the fuel needed and the hourly wages its a losing proposition. The money for most of the coyote program comes from the State Legislature and is given out through the State Ag dept in grants county by county. Each county can within reason run their own predator program. The money is mean't to not only reduce livestock losses but is to also to help increase antelope, and mule deer numbers by reducing predation by coyotes.

I checked around Cheyenne 2 weeks ago and all I got was no bounty paid.
There is a buyer of furs (yote, fox etc.) for lure companies, but who or where they are I have no idea.

I heard that there was a bounty somewhere in Utah, I think in the Unita Basin. Maybe they are taking the ears to Utah.

It depends on what county on Utah. In my county you have to have the whole coyote.

Brady power plant road is where I saw them and a month sounds about right. That is funny I talked to someone yesterday that is from utah and said he wants all my dog ears cuz he can take them back to utah and get $10 a pair.

We would take the skin of the coyote or the whole coyote to a someone on the county predator board. HE would then snip the tips of the ears off and give you a voucher to turn in at the meeting to collect your money.

The Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife in Fremont County have been doing a bounty for past couple of years. This year it is $25.00 per coyote and it starts on December 15th. It's been warm, lots of pressure, and numbers are down. For now their money is pretty safe.

Well all I can say to that is dont. If you think about it thats cheating /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. The reason they have the bounty is for that specific county, not from wyoming. The money comes in part from the state, county and trappers asoc-grazing asoc etc... Its not fair to us who only turn in coyotes that were shot in that county /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Thats one of the reasons you have to have the whole coyote to get the bounty in my county /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif. That makes me so mad I cant even begain to tell you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif. Reason #150 why they should get rid of the bounty. Sure its nice to get some gas money to help with all the traveling I do but it just brings out all the worms. My .02

I agree Heli, I think that is BS, I sell the hyde as a whole I'm not going to give the ears to someone so they can take it to the next state for a bounty. I just thought it was funny that this post came back up at the same time as that guy asking for my ears.
