Anyone on here running one of X-Calibers 6x6.8 Ar barrels? Thinking about ordering one, but haven't heard anything about these. Not interested in running anything over 70 gr. Mostly 55-60's, so don't want a chamber throated long.

My buddy has one on order, should be here in about 4 more weeks. I'm anxious to see how it does compared to my Tactical Ordnance barrels from Ritch's Precision.

DEFINITELY DON'T go with Tactical Ordnance and Ritch's Precision, its so short you can't even load 58vmax to length, my COAL is 2.17 and it touches! I have 2 barrels that are the same.

Our TO chambered 6x6.8s have to have a 58 VMAX seated at 2.222". Had it not been for BCA's affordable ambidextrous charging 243 uppers I would still be hunting with the 6x6.8.
I've been using my ,18" version for daytime calling. I killed one two weeks ago at about 60 yards quartering hard to me.
The 70 varmageddon at about 3150 was an instant off switch and zero fur damage.

I have two 6X6.8 rifles one is Ritch's and the throat is real short and one X-Caliper and the throat isn't as short. Both shoot better than I can and easy under one inch 100 yards

So my buddy ordered his on March 12th, he just got a ship notice today, that's WAY faster than expected.

I'll definitely follow up when it gets here with COAL dimensions as I'm excited to see it as well, should have it hopefully by the end of the week.

Yeah SUPER quick IMO!! Its amazing what can be done when a company has a work ethic and doesn't blame all their shortcomings on covid like half the people do today!

I ordered my two 243s and my 556 barrel not to much later so hopefully they aren't far behind!

So the barrel came in yesterday, looks immaculate. Chamber is nice and tight but not to tight like my TO barrels. Bolt turns in like it's supposed to, hopefully get it all together and shot soon. Waiting on a handguard, more to follow but so far everything is spot on.

So I shot my buddies new 6x6.8 today for the first time. I took my loaded ammo for my 6x6.8. We shot a total 2 five shot groups. The first 5 shot group was with Sierra 70BKs and it shot .6moa, the next group was 70NBTs and it was about .9moa.

With ZERO load work my buddy said he won't even mess with it and just run the Sierra s,.6 is a very very promising start and honestly not a lot to gain for a hunting AR.

Overall the Xcaliber is a very nice barrel that I wished I would have went with over the barrels from Ritch's Precision and Tactical Ordnance. Timeline was WAY faster than quoted and quality was spot on.
