xd pistol??

I have had 3 XD-40's over the past couple of years. They are a heck of tacticool pistol. very accurate and they feel better than a Glock to me. I have sold every one for what ever reason. I just dont seem to make time for pistol shooting. Every once in a while i tell myself i will make time, I go buy another xd-40 and then never shoot it. Maybe one day I will make time. This time of year is really bad for me, it is tournament time for sporting clays and i have been bitten pretty hard buy the rifle bug, Plus I have a family. Just look around a bit, I have never paid more than 400 for the 40cal xd. The 45 may run a bit higher. Lee

That's funny, I did the exact same thing with my XD45. I guess I'm more of a rifle guy than pistols, only it was a AR I had to have...

Oh, I loved my XD and will probably buy another sometime soon. Probably sell it to get another upper or bolt gun tho. Stupid is as stupid does... I can't seem to break the riflecrack habit.

My buddy just got one a while back......on sale Sportsmens Warehouse for $375. XD 40 and it is the most accurate semi auto, factory pistol I have ever shot. We tested it out over the course of two days and 500 rds. Never had a FTF or a stovepipe, I wish I would have jumped on one.

what is the price of a new 45 acp or service or compact xd? i am just wantin to know the ball park.

thanks jle

Cabelas here is $575, local shops around $475 for the Service and compact. I have the service 45 and love it. You can get parts to clean up the trigger and it will really tighten your groups. Check out xdtalk.com

I just picked up an XD45 Compact, for $470, but most
everywhere else I checked, it was going for $530-$540,
for the XD Gear packages. I really like this pistol!
As a good friend that purchased one said, "It makes
me look like a good pistol shooter", when he admits he
is not.

I admit I am in no way a pistol shooter but have been checking out the XD's in 9mm. I'm choosing 9mm over the .40 or .45 because I think my wife will be able and more apt to use it in 9mm.

I have small hands and the XD seems to fit me where others are too large. I was lusting after a .44 Desert Eagle, but then reality of use hit me.

When I get rid of a pile of banquet guns, etc., I'm buying the XD....period.
