Just Say No To Socialism
All this talk about Socialism. Well not in this Country. Why not “just say no” to Socialism? Start today. We can make most taxes a thing of the past.
The government needs to stop using tax dollars to build and maintain roads. From now on we’ll pay a toll for the roads we use and no others. Why should you have to pay for a road you’ve never driven? Why replace or repair a bridge until it has fallen in? You won’t have to drive over it, and you won’t be able to unless you pay a toll.
Be sure and give yourself more time going to and from work. Switching from Washington Blvd. to 20th St. to 3rd Ave. to 10th St. will require stops at multiple tollbooths. It could be a little pricey also. The people who don’t drive these roads won’t have to pay a penny. That is unless landowners start to charge tolls on sidewalks. There will be no public transportation because that’s government funded also. So if you ride PT to work you’ll have to find another way. If your employees ride PT to work you may have to find other employees.
Hey, my kids are grown, why should I have to pay for someone else’s schooling? Why should I pay for someone else’s kid to ride a bus? I say no more publicly funded schools. That’s right. People with no children, children that are grown, and people that don’t even live where you live shouldn’t have to educate your kids. You can send them to the school of your choice…at a price. I think you’ll be shocked by that price. Those who can’t afford to send their kids to school can send them off to work. Preferably someplace where little skill and much danger is involved. There will be no OSHA. It worked in our Great Great Grandparents’ day. Shoot, someone could write an Oliver Twist type story about your kids. With no Child Protective Services you are free do with your kids what you want. Lock them in a closet until they are old enough not to be a problem. Not only is CPS Socialism; it’s an intrusion on your civil liberties. Ask a libertarian.
College? No more college funding, no more government sponsored student loans. Land Grant Universities and their research and help for the field of agriculture are gone. Forget about that cancer cure, heart replacement, or Down Syndrome breakthrough. Who needs higher education? That’s something only Europe needs. Them with their fancy Democratic Socialism. So when Johnny can’t read and he turns to crime you can just call the police.
Oops, no, only people who pay for police and fire protection can be free from Socialism. Police and firemen can now charge on a per-call basis. You may have to wait for your credit check to clear before you receive assistance, but hopefully your house won’t burn that fast and the masked intruder will leave without hurting you. But in case he does hurt you, don’t call an ambulance. Do you know what that will cost? Of course if you have the money, your personal police will be your own law. This will definitely be to your advantage; unless someone else has a larger or more powerful police squad than you do.
Don’t drink the water. No Public Water Service and no EPA. You and the corporations will be able to dump whatever you want into the water table and air. Cool! Fish with three eyes. Wildlife whether to hunt, fish, or just watch. Gone. Hunting and fishing licenses make up a very small part of what is spent on preserving and enhancing our wildlife populations and preserving habitat anyway, right? If everybody doesn’t use it, its existence means Socialism.
Of course labor unions will be a thing of the past. Socialism and unions are naturally interwoven. Marx himself would have been nothing if it were not for the Labor Movement. Outlaw it, today! Now if you’re a salary worker you may be laughing, but with no union to gauge your wages by your wages will go down. Why pay you so much for your hard work anyway? There is always someone who will do your job for less money. Don’t kid yourself. You are replaceable, perhaps by a child. Once you’ve lost your job, don’t expect unemployment insurance. That’s one of those terrible programs that have gotten us into this Socialism mess in the first place. If you do find a job, remember there is no OSHA. You better not get hurt. Don’t come crying to Worker’s Comp. We’re having none of that Socialistic garbage.
At least you’ll get good healthcare. The US boasts a spot at 37 in the WHO’s ranking of healthcare systems. While trailing France (#1), Canada (#30), the Scandinavian nations, and Saudi Arabia (#26), along with a number of nations many people may never have heard of; at least we have a narrow lead over Cuba (#39). Around 18,000 of us are projected to die this year due to lack of health insurance and there is a 4-1 ratio of healthcare lobbyists to US Congresspeople. But why should we let the government stick its nose into our healthcare system? Just another form of Socialism. If we resort to this, we may end up with a healthcare system just like the inefficient ones you might find in places like France, Canada, or Norway. We better say no to Socialism and let everyone work it out for themselves, free of government intervention.
So, maybe you survive with no Worker’s Comp., no insurance (because you can’t afford that with all these new expenses and without unions your employer certainly doesn’t feel compelled to provide it), and no Medicare or Medicaid (more Socialism). You’ll need another job. Don’t look for a small business. There will be no Small Business Administration. Nobody is going to be approved for loan money on a risky new business (75% failure rate) in these rough credit times.
Hope you didn’t lose too much of your 401K in the last, “The Free Market will work it out,” fiasco. Don’t plan on Social Security in your Golden Years. Not only did the government “borrow” from what you had, they could have put it back in with the “surplus”, but remember you wanted a tax rebate? Now we are getting rid of this demon of Marxism. You are now free to “privatize” your own funds. Let the Free Market take care of them like they did your 401K.
We are also getting rid of farm subsidies and subsidies for corporations. The downside is that milk, corn, soy, and numerous products’ prices will go up. You have a garden don’t you? A cow? A pig? You’ll have to learn on your own. Remember, no Land Grant Universities, so no John Marrow. At least you’ve still got your electricity. Although for many of you in the area, electrical lines wouldn’t even come near your house if it weren’t for that dreadful Socialist group—the Rural Electrification Administration—that brought them there in 1935.
I’m sure there are many other Socialistic programs I’m missing but you get the point. These are all needless programs that “share the wealth”, like some kind of Christian doctrine. You know, “feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick”? Socialism is the bane of American society and has to be stopped.
So the “one-percenters” don’t send their sons and daughters to Iraq. So they have accountants to find loopholes in the tax system that allows them to pay far less than what their stated percentage is. They earned it. They got an education. You didn’t.
Most of these programs have been around for 70 years or more. They were set in motion by the likes of Lincoln and FDR. For the life of me I can’t understand why the” Greatest Generation” was so liberal as to vote for a Socialist four times. Nor do I understand why we’ve kept these programs running for so long. After all, I thought it was common knowledge that a Socialist is just a kissin’ cousin to a Commie. Let’s just let the market work it out. Just Say No To Socialism.
