Morning,

Just curious to what your go to .22 rifle is?

Which one do you take most of the time when:

You are going to ramble around in the woods.
Heading to go shoot with the family.
Hunting small game.
For fun.
Camping.

Etc,etc.

If you can pinpoint one, please share.
Thanks

Browning lever BL22, It shoots shorts thru Long Rifles.
I have 2x7 Leupold scope. Dime size groups at 50yds.
It is the grade II I got used.

That is one of life's most difficult decisions.. Standing in front of them, trying to make a choice.
My go to gun is our Marlin 39A, but if I need a scope I take the wife's CZ 452.
On the other hand, my 10/22 TD goes everywhere I go, when a gun isn't "needed".

I have several Winchester 94/22's which I really like, but they're too pretty to beat up in the woods so my "go to" is a Ruger 10-22.

I'd vote the Ruger 10-22 or the Marlin Model 60, as those are the most common it seems, and I used to have one. Both great go to rifles for all the above mentioned. I now use a Savage 22 because I like a bolt action (just feels more at home) and the accutrigger is nice for this rifle. While they are not a great trigger for a nice rifle, plenty good for a .22LR

M&P 15-22 topped with a cheap but tough as nails Centerpoint 3x9. The collapsable stock means it tucks nicely in the truck but is ready when needed. Put a combo light, laser and front grip on it and the night critters really hate it! And the wife, kids and grandkids love it too.

Remington 121 Pump Action (ca.1946)..No scope, no frills, just really accurate..

Or, 1930s Walther Sportmodel V single shot..8-32x scope.

Man that's a tough question! I really like all my 22s.
My sons favorite of mine was 94/22 lr, but after I got him a Ruger 10/22 deluxe model for Christmas that's now his favorite.
Geez I just don't know!.. I have a fajen stocked, bull barrel, big scoped 10/22 that's really fun to shoot, but not much fun to carry.
My 54 sporter gives a one of a kind feel of accuracy and quality when shooting it, it will put a smile on your face every time you pull the trigger.
My grandfathers pump Remington, and my uncles pump winny makes me think about them when they were still alive, so there is no reason to explain how I feel about them....
I have a few others, but I think it may have to be my Ruger 10/22 deluxe that my father bought me for Christmas when I was a boy. I think lol

Hi, I'm doa and I'm a 22aholic

Toz 78.... Win contacted Tula to make the rifle for them with a few changes and renamed it Wildcat. They had it made with different stock (nice) different sights (like the flip rear with meters marked though) and also unlike The 78, a non adjustable trigger. Win boast of dime size groups at 25yds and quarter size 50 yards. Put a 22 casing on a blade of grass and shoot the grass from under it, very accurate light handy 22.

My got to .22 is actually a magnum. Its an older Savage 93GL. Small game sense its presence in the woods and just hide, its a tack driver.

My 35 year old 10/22 is my most used .22 rifle. Bought it new ($75?) and left it factory stock for 20 years. Finally a Hogue stock along with an A&B barrel replaced the factory. Then got a trigger job, better and more reliable extractor. I have a older Redfield Widefield 2-7X mounted on it. I have taken many thousands of ground squirrels with that rifle (several hundreds in one day many times) as well as all kinds of birds and a number of dumb prairie dogs as well.

It will not shoot as tight as my Izhmash BI-7-2-KO or my more recently acquired Anschutz I don't think but if I had to get rid of all my rimfire rifles and keep only one that old 10/22 would be the keeper. Don't even have to think about it.
