Your ideal tattoo

For those of you who have tattoos or have thought about getting one, what would be your ideal image?

I never thought I would want one, 2 weeks past my 40th Im thinking now maybe I do want one.

Was thinking about a American flag or a Non-Harley screaming eagle or something.

I have several. I really like traditional oriental art work. Black and grey or full color. I also have a black and grey coyote skull on my right forearm.

It's the only one my wife truely hates....because it is below my sleeve line. I promised her I wouldn't get one that couldn't be covered up and I did it anyway. Wearing long sleeves sucks in the summer and 115 degree heat.

OK.............isn't a tattoo a permanent mark of temporary insanity.......OK, I'm done /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If you get one, just make sure you look hard and get exactly what you want. I got one on my 20th birthday. I looked for over a year to find just the one I wanted. I'll spare the story, but that ended up to be one of the most meaningful things I have ever done!. I had a friend who got drunk one night with a tatoo artist. He woke up the next morning and his butt cheek was very sore. He got out of the shower and looked in the mirror. He had the USDA GRADE A BEEF stamp on his azz. It was about 6" around. He stayed out of trouble after that day. He said,"there is no way I'm going to jail with that on my rear. The boys in jail would love me long time" That is a true story!
Good Luck finding what you want!

Never cared for them them myself.

I saw a guy at the Astros game today with a womans face tattooed on the left side of his neck. I couldn't tell if it was the woman he was with or not. It was about the size of baseball. All I could think was "what was this guy thinking?"

To each his own I guess.

Don't do it Joe, save you money and get some more ammo for that 5-7. I almost got USMC, the Bulldog, and some other stuff, but didn't. I don't regret it.

But that's just me, and my $.02

If you get a tat, make sure you can cover it up if you choose to. I would say nothing on the face, neck or forehead.

I do have several myself, and I am going to get another. This next one will be the OPHA paw print.

Be aware that they are very adictive. And like was already said, "just make sure you look hard and get exactly what you want." Put alot of thought into it. It will be with you for the rest of your life.

TACKDRIVER,
What ever you do get, make shore it something you really wont

I am getting another one also real soon
I just made it up, and now just got to give it to the kid to copy it

If you are thinking you need to hide it, you don't need it

Depends on how much of a "Coyote Junkie" you are. I got mine shortly after I turned 40. I have never regretted it, but to each there own. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

George....some of us are in positions where we can not have any new tattoo's that are visible in uniform. Therefore, it is always a good idea not to get one where it is 100% visible all the time, at least for me.

I had a buddy of my come back from the Navy years ago. We were sitting around the bar knocking back a few and he started BSing about all his excapades oversees.
Well some of the women in the bar got into our conversation and they joined in the BS party.
He turned to one of them and stated, Well I can do better than that! I bet you a beer that I have your name tatooed on my a$s. Her Eyes got real big /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif and I was thinking how the heck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. She agreed to the bet and I couldn't believe it either. My buddy pulled down the right side of his pants exposing the top of his cheek with a tatoo that read "your name". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

She bought him a beer.

I have never been one to even want a tatoo but if you do make it something you can bet on.

That top tatoo is kinda cool.

I've had too many people with tattoo's, tell me not to get one. I also believe the addicted part. I've seen too many people overseas with alot of artwork on thier arms, back chest, and other places that regretted what they got.

I'd guess now-a-days dirty needles and Hep isn't probably much of a concern either. Again, just MHO.

If I was going to get a tat, which I'm not. It would likely be this or one like it.
I think one of our members designed this and it has been used on everything you can imagine hog related.

Tackdriver, I too have several tats and truely am addicted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif My wife has several which some I like and some are ok. They are hers and it was her desire. True they are not for everyone. I do have 2 cover-ups which re-inforces the fact to make sure you get what you want the first time. Also opinions are like backsides, everyone has one and they all stink. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifDo what is right for you and be happy with that decision. Just make sure you check into the artist as there are several posers out there and can really do bad work. Good luck and enjoy that tat if you decide to go that way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
