so i'm taking the dive into buying an e-caller and decided on a foxpro. i just wanted to know which sounds you all had good luck with. i went through the sounds listed on their site and some are similar. i wanted a few howls, distress' and at least one bird? i know i can change sounds out but wanted to start off with a good lot. i live in the southern nevada desert. thanks.

I used #217, coyote pup frenzy last year and called in 6 coyotes from all directions in less than 5 minutes under calm conditions in Montana.

Jackrabbit distress
Coyote pups
What model are you getting. You will have to pick several
My Scorpion came with 100 and can add 100 more

Yep Lightning Jack is a must.
DGS cottontail too.
coyote pup screams sounds good and works
Yesterday we got a coyote with Lucky Bird and Cranky Cardinal.
Vole squeaks/ good coaxer sound

This is a good thread as I was going to make the same one. Next month I'm buying the Foxpro Fury so I have to pick out quite a few.

I'm in southern Arizona and have had success with interrogation, female invitation, pup distress, sometimes I get in a challenge match, jack rabbit, cottontail, cottontail dsg, and lately success with prairie dog distress.

I bought the fox pro fury and racked my brain trying to pick out 100 calls. I have called in 11 dogs so far. 7 with lightning jack, 2 with cottontail distress 2 with jackrabbit distress. I was given some good advise to just wait and buy the spitfire, because it has more than enough calls. I didnt listen and figured I would go for the best. After using it for a while I really really believe that all those calls are not needed. Good luck with you new call.

yeah, what model Foxpro do you plan on buying? With my FX3 Ive had the most success with..... Baby cottontail in distress, coyote pup distress, bobcat in heat, and vole squeaks; which is a Very good coaxer that was already mentioned above by venatic

i'm gonna buy the XR6 which holds 16 calls. was thinking of the Spitfire but since i have the money why not go with a higher model. plus i like the recharging capability and camo. not too sure on the Spitfire model as it is new. wondering on the range. people estimate on this but no one has one to give real life experience.

I'm still waiting for a domestic lamb distress sound, I think that would be "killer" sound

When I got my Scorpion about a year ago I thought there was no way I would ever use/need 100 sounds, much less MORE!!! Well, I just ended up getting the 16 sounds pack from FoxPro cause though alot of the sounds on it were good sounds, a lot of the ones I've heard about were missing. So, I added sounds like:

Javalina Demise
Luckybird
Woodpecker Distress
Cow bird Distress
Grey Catbird
Sparrow Distress
Quail Distress
Waning Snow Shoe
Mule Deer Fawn

And some others. It was a lot of bird sounds, and some stuff that people in my area may not think to play (like Waning snow shoe). That way, when my area starts getting hit hard, I'll have some sounds still on there that they haven't heard yet that I hope will pique their interest.

you guys wouldnt beleive javalina distress works pretty good in utah, but also dying jack works well, along with pup screams.
