Your personal recoil limit for predator hunting…

I could use my Remarms 700 ADL 7mm RM that I have in a KRG Bravo, but it's really my long range elk rifle. My 260 AI is my dedicated long rang coyote rifle. And the largest cartridge I consistently use for predator hunting. I don't keep the pelts and the cattle ranchers need help with the coyote over population.

I concur that the .338 WM has a sharper recoil than .375 HH magnum. I sold all my large caliber rifles after moving from Alaska to Arizona and now shoot a .222 Remington, .223 and .243 in pursuit of coyotes. I miss Alaska but predator hunting down here is a lot more productive.

For me, recoil isn't a huge concern since I usually stick with .223 or .22-250—they're smooth, accurate, and easy to stay on target. That said, I’ve taken coyotes with heavier calibers when the opportunity came up. As long as it gets the job done cleanly, I’m good with it!
