Picture of our floodway system dumping millions of acre feet of water into the Gulf of Mexico (now America) several years ago. Only problem was Mexico decided to pay back the water they owe us from the Rio Grande River during the rainy season and their reservoirs were near flood stage. Currently, Amistad and Falcon lakes are nearly dry, our farmers are not able to get enough water to plant their crops, and Mexico owes us millions of acre feet of water while their reservoirs are near full.
