To be so mean, various cacti have the most beautiful blooms

While not classified as a cactus, it has no shortage of "thorns" and a very beautiful bloom.

Ebony tree in full bloom. Springtime in the S. Tx. brush country is a sight to behold.

Going through my screen saver today. Not sure if I've shared these pictures of a pair of Nilgai bulls settling a dispute over an unseen cow.
Both bulls stepped into the small clearing from opposite directions and began to challenge their opponent.

As they slowly circled each other, the circle tightened

As their shoulders brushed, the battle was enjoined

 

[hm1996]

For some 30 minutes, they continued the struggle. The entire clearing was their stage; my hunting partner and I were the privileged audience.

One bull gives the other the evil eye as they battle on

Each searching for an opening

 

[hm1996]

But both are determined to achieving their goals

 

[hm1996]

Then, just as quickly as it began, each bull, as if by common consent, broke off the aggression and, in an ever increasing circle slowly exited the stage in the direction from which they came; leaving us to wonder, which one took the prize?

Was out walking the other day, neighbor has these vines:

I saw him & asked if I could get cuttings, figured my wife would like to plant some as highlights in her flowerbeds. I got 4. That was 3 days ago, maybe 4. They've already sprouted roots
