I live in Arkansas and our predator numbers are really high in areas that I hunt. We have 2 Coyote seasons per year. Day only. And not very many predator hunters in our hunting populace.
Seasons here start on Sept 1st through Feb 28th for Fall. No limit then Spring April 8 - May 5th. No limit.
Limits were 2 per day until public outcry by predator hunters last year.
We are trying to get some restrictions lifted that do not allow night hunting and would like to have year round hunting for them.
I need some information on your seasons and whether your state has rules for night hunting and how the enforcment is handled. The defacto excuse is poaching and this has become the standard response on what decisions are made by our Game and Fish department. Our honest hunters are "Guilty until proven innocent" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
Any information you could provide would be helpful. Any programs your state or province uses that we may be able to recommend as support would help also. IE permits, Check stations, etc. A brief desciption is fine.
Thanks
Chris Davis.
