Zeiss 3.5x10 rapid z

Why not??? Every rifle I have is zeroed at 200 yards. Puts you ~1-1.5" high at 100 (dependant on load/cartridge) & gives you a closer POI to POA line through the shorter distances typical in calling situations. (If your dead on a at 100, your pretty much low everywhere except 100 yards).

As far as the rapid Z, it works decent. Don't expect exact placement but it will get you closer than guessing.

One really needs to shoot at each yardage & confirm. Also note that it only works with a specific power setting.

I sight in high at 100 then check further.

I did the zeiss ballistic calc. Each load needs a specific power. I got that, just hard for me to get used to a 200 yd zero. I believe I would rather dial it up. I am used to a 100yd zero I guess.

The rapid Z works pretty well. I have a couple of the 600 models. Just make sure you have the zoom correct for your load and elevation

In an accurate rifle the rapid z reticles can be a hunters best friend. Spend as much time as you can learning how to use the scope. It does a lot.
I use a 3.5-10 with a z800 reticle and have proven very accurate to 600 yards on my cooper 25-06.
How well its works is really up to the shooter.

I've got a Rapid Z 800 on my .270. Furthest I've tested it so far is 400 yards but it dead on at 100 out to that 400 mark. Hoping to stretch it out to 700 next week. Good scope in my opinion.

Tryed it on a 2506, it was really close out to 400. 500 there was some difference, nothing to be concerned about for hunting.
I think it is a really nice scope, but a little clutered for me personlly. I still like a duplex better.
