Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44-What Reticle?

I decided to buy a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 to put on my 22-250 which I will be using for coyote hunting. Most shots around 200 to 300 yards. I really like the standard duplex model (#20 z-plex). Can you get hunting turrets for this model? Or should I look at another reticle? Like the Rapid Z 800. They seem like they would be hard to see in low light situations. Any in-put would be greatly helpful. Thanks Tom

I spoke with a Zeiss rep a while back and he said the z600 and z1000 was for non mag calibers and z800 was for calibers like 300 win mag.You might want to check that out and make sure.I have the z20 but would like to have the rapid z 600 or 1000.

First off, I think Zeiss Conquest target turrets suck. Totally suck for that matter, for what you pay. And, they spin "backwards" of the American scopes. Being as how the Conquest was specifically aimed at the U.S. market, this makes zero sense to me.

Standard Leupold TTs are far better. And M1s even more so.

As for the reticle, the Rapid Z 800 is certainly not what you want to put on a 223. It is for large magnums.

The Rapid Z varmint would probably work best with a 223 but I'd not waste my money on it.

Get a scope that fits your needs. For coyotes out to 300 yards, a ballistic reticle consisting of a bunch of confusing thin lines that are hard to see in low light, is not warranted, nor needed.......

If you're not going to be shooting much beyond 300 yards, the z-plex will be fine with the .22-250. It should shoot flat enough that you can determine your hold over if necessary.
