Zeiss Conquest, Want to Hear Your Opinions

Looked thru a Zeiss today and it looked good in the gun store, but so do diamonds in the jewelry store inside the case. Curious to see how much better I'll be able tosee at night over my Prostaff and Revolutions.

Think I've got my mind set on the 3x9x50

One plus for the Conquest over some of the others that I didn't see mentioned yet is the nice dark etched reticle that is wonderful in low light.

Any shop worth it's salt would let you take them outside to look thru them. Look carefully though, I don't think you could tell the difference between the 40 and the 50mm objective but your wallet sure will. The only reason you think you need a 50 is because of the dark glass your used to looking thru. I bet the 40 on the Zeiss is still better than a 50 on most everything else you have ever used. Plus it won't sit as high on the rifle.

Newbie here. I just purchased a Zeiss conquest hd5 5-25x50 for my 22-250. The folks at camera land was great to deal with. The scope is very clear and well worth the $$$$$.

I just bought that same scope from Camera land also. I mounted it on my 6/284 and today out in NV desert I was shooting water filled Rock Star cans at 394 yards. With my 55 year old corected vision eyes I was able to see them just fine. Its a great scope.

Thanks for the replies. Going to go with a 3-9x50 for my AR and a 3-9x40 for my .22 mag all in the hopes of getting a bit more distance in my night id ranges.
