Does anybody know if Zeiss will install target turrets on their Conquest scope models that don't offer the turret option on them from the factory?
I know they won't install a reticle in a scope if it isn't offered in the standard version.
I have a Zeiss with 'mushy' turrets also. But, I don't believe all Zeiss have these inferior knobs. Many Zeiss owners say they have really good turrets. I guess it is hit and miss.
Funny ,you say that. When I told Zeiss USA about my mushy, inaudible, turrets, they told me it is pretty much hit and miss and you'll get some that are that way. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed.........
Were the standard turrets on your scope "mushy" before you had them swapped for the target turrets?
The turrets on all 3 of my Zeiss are nice and tight and have auduble clicks.
I wasn't so lucky. I like to hear my turrets click, and they need to have a certain amount of tension on them. The Zeiss did neither. Plus the fact that I have a bunch of Leupys with TTs and M1's on them and the Zeiss spin in the opposite direction. Drove me nuts.....

I like turrets, and had Leupold install them on some of my Leupy scopes. Been considering doing the same with a couple of Conquests I have, but I think I'll put that idea on hold until Zeiss Engineering gets the "mush" out. That's a huge turn off..
