Zeiss vs Swarovski

I have 3 Zeiss Conquest scopes and I have 3 Swarovski AV scopes. The AV is basicaly the same as the Z3. Actually the Z3 is suppose to be an upgraded AV.

Both scopes are good qualtiy scopes. I give the advantage to the AV in a few areas. They are shorter and lighter in weight. The power ring is considerably smoother in the Swaro. The ring is so smooth it feels like it is floating in butter. I also prefer the AO on the Swaro.

Definiton of target at 200 yards and beyond is more crisp with the Swaro. glass. But I believe the Swaro. glass in the AV is a step above the glass being used in the Zeiss Conquest. Yes I said it. One full step above Conquest glass. I definitely can see bullet holes on target at longer distances with the Swaro. I have looked at targets side by side with both scopes. And could notice the exact positioning of the bullet holes with the Swaro., and could not see the holes with the Zeiss. This occured at distances past 300 yards, but happened none the less.

I also believe the actual look and design of the Swaro. is better than the Zeiss. Leupold makes a good looking scope. But I believe the Swaro. AV makes the best looking scope of all.

The Z3 is an upgrade over the Conquest's. And because of the better glass the Swaro. is the scope on my go to deer rifle. It definitely performs better in low light situations. Tom.
