Would removing the tip make the bullet a hollow-point??? If so, I think I will try a shot or two on Oklahoma hogs, just to see what happens.

Its the same bullet, its going to do the same thing. There are plenty of different hollow point designs- some fragment and break apart, and some mushroom and penetrate.Hollow points mushroom, vmax fragment. I have a lot of .223 so I'll find out soon.

The polymer tip is just to increase accuracy in flight, it sheds that tip the second it touches skin.

I should have taken a deeper look into this before I made an assumption.
