Heading out tonight

Going after bunnies, the snowshoe kind.

We will be using a 22lr bolt suppressed with subsonic ammo. I have a spot where I've taken a couple during the day. I'm hopeful they will be out in force at night. We just want a couple to practice some tanning and then using the fur for something like mittens. Should be a beautiful night. It's warm right now in Montana.

They kicked our butts tonight. The wind died so the closest we could get is 120 yards. Our limit is 75, but prefer 50 yards. Those big ears they have work pretty good.

That would be a challenging hunt. Iv killed a few cottontails with a 9mm Glock but I like to be at least 20yds max. Can be hard spotting them in cover before they flush

Ya, it's personal now

I'm on a mission. I know where they are hanging out now. If the wind is not going to help me then I just may set up, sit and let them come to me.
