Calling stubborn coyotes

Went out with my hunting partner on Monday 2-23. We shot a coyote on the first stand, I posted about it on "Hunting in the East". On the second stand we called a coyote to 300 yards on a tree line. Try as I might this coyote would not come out into the field. I tried prey distress, vocals, fight and everything in between. It would come and look but didn't come out. I think it was a combination of good moonlight, and him being wary. Towards the beginning he sat and observed from the edge. At the time I didn't want to shot but looking at the video maybe we should have. Any advice on calling these stubborn coyotes? I was thinking maybe an actual coyote decoy or a decoy on the caller. Something he could see in the field to come and investigate. Here is the part where I saw him the most.

Don’t know what I would’ve done other than maybe turn the volume down to where I couldn’t hear it anymore and pray he could to see if that got a response. Haven’t had that issue yet, generally if I can see them they’re in range…whether I’m smart enough to pull the trigger is well documented and up for debate, 😂

We were on stand for an hour. I tried vole squeaks really quietly, young rat distress, and when he would leave I would go back to coyotes and at the end I got an angry super loud answer. Just frustrating to call for that long and not shot...lol.
That's where I would have gotten aggressive right back! Challenge it. If it left, and if possible, gotten closer to where it was and aggressively challenged it closer to where it was.

I answered back with an aggressive challenge howl and bark but couldn't get him to break cover at the end. I just gotta finish my hot rod 22CM and put a round right in his chest when they sit.

I had one that went to sleep at 300+ yards and casually walked away no matter what I tried, but the next time it happened I called with erratic barks at different volume levels to bring them closer.
