Went out with my hunting partner on Monday 2-23. We shot a coyote on the first stand, I posted about it on "Hunting in the East". On the second stand we called a coyote to 300 yards on a tree line. Try as I might this coyote would not come out into the field. I tried prey distress, vocals, fight and everything in between. It would come and look but didn't come out. I think it was a combination of good moonlight, and him being wary. Towards the beginning he sat and observed from the edge. At the time I didn't want to shot but looking at the video maybe we should have. Any advice on calling these stubborn coyotes? I was thinking maybe an actual coyote decoy or a decoy on the caller. Something he could see in the field to come and investigate. Here is the part where I saw him the most.
