Cal Taylors sounds

wouldnt they still be available in those other formats or did foxpro make them proprietary ?

will the sound quality change if they switch the format ?

Pretty sure it’s only FP at this point. It sucks for other callers besides FP, but it is what it is.

Capitalism. LD or Icotec could have made the decisions to isolate formats and do the same as FP. They didn’t. FP is scooping up the best sounds out there. I guess they’re making some deals that their competitors can’t match. I wouldn’t hold it against the guys making the sounds. They’re just making a living.

Just my $0.02

Yes I agree, it is what it is. You can’t blame Cal for doing what’s best for him and his family. I’m glad I bought all of his sounds when they first came out. They really are some of the best sounds I’ve used to call Coyotes.

Good Hunting Chad

Where are you seeing these sounds listed on FoxPro? I haven't seen anything with his name attached.

They’re in Foxpro’s coyote sound list. They don’t have Cal’s name on them. Where You At, Territorial and Tater Tot 2 Week are Cal’s sounds. They’re the only ones I seen listed anyways.

so if we want them we have to guess which ones are his. not doing it.

they list MFK sounds. if they want people to buy Cal Taylor sounds they should mark them as such. hopefully they will.

For any of you that think I did something wrong, I apologize. I was made an offer from Foxpro that I accepted and sold. I appreciate all who bought my sounds from me personally. I have no control of what Foxpro sells them for as they bought the rights and are free to do as they wish. My main reason for selling wasn't "just about the money." I have a full time job doing predator control work here. Same job I've had for over 20 years. It requires a lot of attention. I found out the hard way that a website also requires a lot of attention. When I had the website created, my computer guru said it would be hands off with little or no attention required. She was wrong! There were hundreds of issues. Some caused by the website and some caused by customers. Downloads don't always work and many customers (and myself) aren't real computer savvy. So the amount of constant messages and help issues were overwhelming. Didn't matter if it was midnight or Christmas day. People expect service and I tried to make that happen. I'm a one man show so I had a choice to make, which would be to try to make a living off of the sounds or to keep my current occupation. The sounds produced income, but not enough to make a living, so I would have had to figure a way to produce more sounds and products to produce the amount of income required. At the same time I was approached by Foxpro about selling those sounds and possibly producing more for them. Most of you know that I have had a long standing relationship with them and had produced dozens of sounds for them in the past. It seemed to be the best decision for me at the time. I appreciate the people that bought them from me personally and as those that bought them know, they work, and will continue to do so.

As tough as it can be, many times in life we're required to make a decision that is in our best interest, thanks for clearing the air.

"I'm so glad I bought it in time. The sounds really do work, sometimes better, sometimes worse."

I have several questions

Why doesn’t FP list your sounds with your name?

Why dont they have all the sounds for sale that were originally available on your web site?

Did FP purchase the rights to ALL your sounds including sounds that haven’t been released yet?

When will you be releasing more sounds so I can use them to call in Coyotes and shoot them?

Cal,
No need to apologize, I bought your sounds and to be honest, I didn’t have much luck with any of them.

It wasn’t just your sounds, 2025-2026 Coyote hunting just sucked the life outta me.

Hot temps
Windy
Hot temps and windy

Here’s to hoping 2026-2027 will bring better Coyote hunting conditions.
