Colorado in the race to the bottom......

That’s insane. I guess a trapper can only have two traps set. I wonder if a lot of coyotes will be shot and left for the crows and ravens.

This is how the left is taking our rights away over time through incrementalism. Every year it is something new, a new restriction or regulation...over time all those little restrictions and regulations here and there lead to something much bigger over time. Just saying.

It is liken to the boiling of the frog in the pot or death by 1000 cuts analogies.

…when this old world comes to its end, all that will be left is cockroaches and coyotes..!
There's gonna be enough coyotes in Colorado to restore the rest of the United States population if that's the case.

Keep that weak ass liberal bullshit up there in Colorado. If you're from there don't even talk about Oklahoma, Texas or Kansas. There's no coyotes in any of those States and they're definitely not worth moving to. I hear California has a bunch and it's an awesome place to live.

A limit on coyotes. Dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. And that's saying a lot because I hear dumb things frequently.

My grandpas generation (born 1907) gave a very good effort to totally wipe out all coyotes in Kansas. It was a community effort and they killed thousands of them. He told me after church the entire congregation would surround a different section of land every Sunday and slowly drive everything towards the middle. They used dogs and men on horses. Shooters would clean up the middle with shotguns. This went on for many years. When I was a little boy the state paid a bounty on coyotes. All of this failed, and today we are overrun with them.

This is what happens when your governor cherry picks the people that sit on the board, each and every one of them are anti-hunting and anti-gun. Yep, all the turds from commifornia, oregon, new york, and almost every other liberal state that have landed here are once again pushing their liberal rhetoric and here is a great example. But as Littlebuf stated, who is going to pick them up and count. I grew up in this once beautiful state, and have watched it turn into a bubbling cesspool of liberal BS that is slowly consuming the state, very sad

First thing they should do is change the definition of fur bearer. In Texas, coyotes and bobcats and Moutain loins are not defined as fur bearers they are considered non-game animals.

But there is a push to allow no harvest for mountain lions.

There needs to be a standardized definition. In Nevada, coyote-skunk-badger-ringtail cat- blacktail jackrabbit are non-game. BUT if you TRAP or SELL the coyote hide for profit, you have to have a furbearer license.
Mt lion are considered big game but tags can be had over the counter limit of 2 per year and quotas per zone.
Bobcat and fox are fur bearers with seasons.

Yet in Utah, badgers are fur bearers. MT LION now only requires a standard hunting license.

Hey crapshoot, if your state insists on requiring a furbearer license because you sell the coyote "for profit" then you should be allowed to deduct expenses for acquiring that critter. Once the tax experts come to realize how much it costs to get one of those flea-bitten things they, the IRS, will rise up in arms and demand the state reclassify.
Now, you may have to do a "show and tell" for the IRS to justify that foot long itemized deduction list, but just go with it!
Just trying to be helpful.

I don't trap and don't skin anymore unless i want it mounted so it doesn't really bother me other than it doesn't make sense and is stupid.
I'll let someone else tackle the state f&g.

Texas allows recreational harvest of fur bearers year round with no bag, but cannot be sold without a trappers license in conjunction with trapping season.

Non-game requires a hunting license.
