kymailman- for me it's the people that use such language in a primarily negative manner that's bothersome.
There's lots of places in the world that it's almost common in day to day language. That guy wasn't being dirty,mean, or nasty just part of his speach. Probably grew up all around it and it was seen as normal. I've always lived and worked in small rural towns and it's pretty normal.
To say you don't have respect for someone because they cuss is poor judgement in my view. He could be a fireman, soldier, paramedic,teacher, coast guard etc doing pretty important duties for country and community the rest of the year. These people are deserving of everyones respect.
My younger sister is a cardiologist and she can curse a blue streak, mind you not in every sentence. Doubt she got that far without throwing a couple 1000 Fbombs. I respect her despite the fact.
