On the straights the Camaro rules, but the Mazda usually catches up in the tight corners. The main problem with the Mazda is- the guy driving the Camaro is gonna get layed after the race, while the Mazda guy, well... at least he'll have his video games to keep him company at night.
Swift wins, plus as a spotter, watching the swirl of a Swift followed by a massive red mist is better than spotting a 204.

Depends on what you plan to use it for. If you're just horny to get another gun, it doesn't matter. The difference between a 204 and 223 is more than the difference between a 22-250 and a swift.

Since the thread was about the Swift and speed, I did miss the twisty track part. Still, comparing a Mazda Miata to any other performance car is a stretch. They are a wannabe rice burner nothing at a budget price.
If both the older Camaro and the Miata started on a straight stretch, the Miata would have some serious catching up to do when it got to the corners where no doubt it would have the advantage. Off the lights there are some grocery getters that can easily keep up with a stock Miata,
Even an older Z-3 like this one would smoke a Miata on both straight and twisty roads. The Camaro was made for the street and would leave both in the dust in its element.

For 600 Id jump on it. 204 or 220 swift? Thats easy, get both. I have the 204 and a fast twist swift keeps playing in my head. Good speed, heavy bullets, different, nostalgia, yep its on the bucket list.

greengt88, I wouldn't even hesitate to buy the M77. I bought the same gun in 1976. It had "made in the 200th year of liberty" stamped on the barrel. I moved about 2 years later to an area without good coyote hunting and decided to trade it for an M77 in a 270 for elk hunting. I rue the day that I let that rifle go. I now have a CZ 17 Rem, 223, 22-250 for coyote hunting. And I will admit the 220 doesn't beat the 22-250 by much. And I understand the ammo problem. With that still being said, I would buy the swift in a heartbeat. You can find ammo and maybe even find a friend who reloads who will do it for you. For $600 for what you would be getting I would call it a great deal. Just my $.02.

I agree completely.
$600 spent on a Swift in good condition and fully scoped is a no-brainer to me. You'll find brass and/or ammo in reasonable time. It's out there.
